HMS Cattistock celebrates 40 years of service (Second oldest ship in the fleet). Currently undergoing major refit in Portsmouth which will see her serve into the 2030s as one the the last crewed minehunters in the RN.

Naval vessels from various countries, docked at Portsmouth Naval Base. Taking part in the International Fleet Review which was part of the Trafalgar 200 celebrations. 2005.
On This Day in 1918, the newly commissioned HMS GLATTON suffered a fire in a magazine whilst in Dover. Due to the proximity of an ammunition ship she was torpedoed by Vice Admiral Keyes to prevent a larger disaster. She was moved later and now rests under the current ferry terminal. Loss of 98 men.
