HSwMS Gustaf V, a Sverige class coastal defense ship. This class helped deter the potential invasion of Sweden by Germany during World War II.

On This Day in 1918, the newly commissioned HMS GLATTON suffered a fire in a magazine whilst in Dover. Due to the proximity of an ammunition ship she was torpedoed by Vice Admiral Keyes to prevent a larger disaster. She was moved later and now rests under the current ferry terminal. Loss of 98 men.
