Conversion.



USS Albany (CA-123) during her conversion to a guided missile cruiser at the Boston Naval Shipyard, Massachusetts (USA). Her conversion started in January 1959 and she recommissioned as CG-10 on 3 November 1962. In the foreground is the destroyer USS Gearing which ended her FRAM I conversion at Boston in October 1962. In the background is USS Glennon (DD-840) during her FRAM I conversion which lasted from August 1962 to 24 July 1963. The guided missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG-10) is visible behind Glennon.
