On The 18th November, 1800, HMS LEDA is launched at Chatham. She was the first of the largest class of sailing frigates ever built for the Royal Navy, with 47 built. Although LEDA was lost in 1808, 2 of her sisters survive today to visit. HMS Trincomalee In Hartlepool and HMS Unicorn in Dundee.
