On This Day 50 years ago, in 1971, the Tribal Class frigate, HMS ZULU suffered a fire leaving her without power off the coast of East Africa. 3 Royal Navy patrol ships returning from Hong Kong to the UK, arrived 2 days later to help ZULU to Dakar for repairs.
