On This Day in 1968, HMNB Singapore was handed over to the Singapore Government. The RN Barracks HMS TERROR remained until the British withdrew in 1971. The RN still maintains a presence in the Sembawang Yard which will support HMS Tamar and HMS Spey when they forward deploy.
