USS Stickleback (SS-415) sinks after being rammed by USS Silverstein (DE-534) off the coast of Oahu, 28 May 1958. The USS Stickleback was cut in two by the USS Silverstein in an accident during a naval warfare exercise.

On this day in 1922, HMS Victory was moved into No 2 Dock in Portsmouth dockyard, to be preserved for the nation. HMS Victory is the oldest commissioned warship in the world and is located in the oldest Dry Dock still in use in the world which was commissioned by King Henry VII in 1495.
Naval vessels from various countries, docked at Portsmouth Naval Base. Taking part in the International Fleet Review which was part of the Trafalgar 200 celebrations. 2005.
