On this day 100 years ago in 1922, HMS VICTORY was moved into No 2 Dock in
HMNB Portsmouth to be preserved for the nation.
HMS VICTORY is the oldest commissioned warship in the world and is located in the oldest Dry Dock still in use in the world, commissioned by King Henry VII in 1495.
