On this day in 1920 the last Royal Navy Battlecruiser, HMS Hood, which at the time was the longest and heaviest ship (only 17m shorter than Carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth commissioned at Rosyth. She would be lost 21 years later with 1415 men dead & only 3 survivors.
