On this day 80 years ago, in 1942, Royal Navy submarine P35, later to be called HMS UMBRA, sank the Italian Cruiser Trento after she had been damaged by an Royal Air Force bomber from Malta. Trento was lost with 549 men, nearly half of her crew. Lest We Forget.
