On this day 20 years ago in 2002, the first ever purpose built Royal Navy LPD, HMS FEARLESS paid off in HMNB Portsmouth. The hugely versatile ship served the RN for 37 years serving in the Falklands and Aden as well as appearing in 007 film The Spy Who Loved Me in 1977.
