On this day in 1943, the Italian Regia Marina (Royal Navy) surrendered its Fleet. The surrender took place in numerous locations but particularly poignant was the RV in the Mediterranean of main body with HMS Warspite and HMS Valiant, who were also at surrender of the German Fleet in 1918.
