HMS PUNJABI was a Tribal Class destroyer of the Royal Navy in the Second World War. She was built by Scotts at Greenock, Scotland, and launched on 18 December 1937. On 1 May 1942 she was involved in a collision with the battleship HMS King George V. She was sliced in two by the battleship, with the loss of 49 of her crew. King George V sustained serious damage to her bows and was forced to return to port for repairs. PUNJABI carried two pennant numbers during her career: F21 January 1939 - Autumn 1940 G21 Autumn 1940 - May 1942
