05 August 2003: Eastern Pacific - During a counter-drug operation in the Eastern Pacific, USS Rentz (FFG 46) crew members combat a fire set by suspected drug traffickers in an attempt to escape and destroy evidence. During this operation, the guided missile frigate recovered 37 kilos of cocaine and detained five suspects.
