Ca-Class Fleet Destroyer of the 11th Emergency Flotilla ordered in February 1942 from Yarrow at Scotstoun. The ship was originally to be named SWALLOW but this was changed in November 1942 to CAPRICE as part of the rationalisation of names for the Class. She was launched on 16th September 1943 and completed on 5th April 1944. Post war see was modernised in 1959 serving periods in commission and reserve. Her final commission was in 1971 – 73 when she was sea going training vessel for Engineering Officers at Devonport. She paid off for disposal in March 1973 at Devonport and arrived at Queensborough in Oct 1973 for breaking up.
