Identifiable ships include (front to back): the aircraft carrier USS Lexington (CV-2); USS Oklahoma (left); USS Nevada (right); a Brooklyn-class light cruiser; two Farragut-class destroyers; a Northampton-class heavy cruiser is in a drydock; one of the destroyers in the foreground is probably USS Charles F. Hughes (DD-428) which was built at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and commissioned on 5 September 1940. The other could be USS Monssen (DD-436), commissioned on 14 March 1941. The contruction of Drydock No. 5 was started in the background.
