On this day in 1995, Rosyth Naval Base closed. MCM Squadrons still based there moved to HMNB Clyde HMNB Portsmouth. Though no longer a Fleet base, the yard still has a heavy naval use for repair and shipbuilding. HMSQNLZ and HMSPWLS built there as is HMS Venturer and the Type 31's.
