RIB’s, or Seaboats (Pacific 24 Mark-4) from HMS Sutherland photographed during a boarding exercise with HMAS TOOWOOMBA off the south coast of Australia. HMS Sutherland undertook manoeuvres and exercises with Australian Navy Ship HMAS Toowoomba. The RIBS can travel from ship or shore at speeds of up to 38 knots (44mph) as a rapid response craft to perform fast rescue, anti-piracy and counter-narcotics missions.
