Royal Navy Sandown Class Minehunter HMS Pembroke pictured sailing from HMNB Clyde in Western Scotland, when in commission. The Class was originally named the Single Role Minehunter and was planned to complement the preceding Hunt class's capabilities and be cheaper to build. Sandown MCMVs were highly manoeuvrable vessels and were considered to be the best Minehunters active in the world.
