The White Ensign 'flies' again on destroyer HMS Exmouth after a team of divers surveyed the wreck. Exmouth was the first RN surface ship lost with all hands in WW2, torpedoed off Wick in Scotland in January 1940.

On This Day in 1918, the newly commissioned HMS GLATTON suffered a fire in a magazine whilst in Dover. Due to the proximity of an ammunition ship she was torpedoed by Vice Admiral Keyes to prevent a larger disaster. She was moved later and now rests under the current ferry terminal. Loss of 98 men.
