Last surviving dreadnaught in the world. Played a roll in WWI and WWII, firing her guns on D-day at Normandy, 255 shells in 34 minutes.

On This Day in 1918, the newly commissioned HMS GLATTON suffered a fire in a magazine whilst in Dover. Due to the proximity of an ammunition ship she was torpedoed by Vice Admiral Keyes to prevent a larger disaster. She was moved later and now rests under the current ferry terminal. Loss of 98 men.
