According to a Royal Navy press release, HMS Sutherland has returned to sea after undergoing nearly four years of extensive life-extension upgrades at Devonport dockyard.

The Turkish Navy's TCG Alemdar submarine rescue mother ship on a visit to Plymouth leaving the Sound tonight. The vessel is designed to perform subsea and surface search and rescue missions under various sea conditions.
Today in 1999, HMS Bangor was commissioned. She was the last RN Ship to be accepted in the 20th Century. Of the 12 RN Sandown Class Minehunters built only BANGOR remains in service as mine-hunting moves towards autonomous vessels from mother ships.
