XVPTBK has returned to Portsmouth following refit and new paint job ready for a new series of trials and experimentation under the auspices of the Disruptive Capabilities and Technologies Office (DCTO). In Oct 2024, the RN issued a tender for a 5-year £6.6M contract to maintain XV Patrick Blackett that will run from April 2025 - March 2030.
