The RN has changed the name of the future amphibious warfare vessel from the "Multi-Role Support Ship" to "Multi-Role Strike Ship" (MRSS). This is a sensible change reflecting the primarily offensive mission of these vessels. The programme is currently in the concept phase and needs to be funded in the coming SDR.
