USS Constitution and USCGC Eagle in Boston Harbor, Jul 2012. These are the only two active commissioned sailing vessels in the US military today. USS Constitution is currently the only active ship in the US military to have sunk an enemy vessel.

On This Day in 1918, the newly commissioned HMS GLATTON suffered a fire in a magazine whilst in Dover. Due to the proximity of an ammunition ship she was torpedoed by Vice Admiral Keyes to prevent a larger disaster. She was moved later and now rests under the current ferry terminal. Loss of 98 men.
