On this day in 1991, four different generations of aircraft carriers from Battle Force Zulu steamed in formation after Operation Desert Storm: USS Midway (CV-41), USS Ranger (CV-61), USS America (CV-66) and USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71).

Naval vessels from various countries, docked at Portsmouth Naval Base. Taking part in the International Fleet Review which was part of the Trafalgar 200 celebrations. 2005.
On This Day in 1918, the newly commissioned HMS GLATTON suffered a fire in a magazine whilst in Dover. Due to the proximity of an ammunition ship she was torpedoed by Vice Admiral Keyes to prevent a larger disaster. She was moved later and now rests under the current ferry terminal. Loss of 98 men.
